A Loveland Pass Engagement Session
Allison & Keith wanted two things for their Loveland Pass session: Beautiful mountain scenery, and to include their dog, Poppy (when in doubt, you should always bring your dog to a photo session) So we settled on Pass Lake, a breathtaking stop along Loveland Pass with views to die for and lakes as clear as the Colorado night sky. Allison & Keith were both a little nervous about the session and a little bit chilly (this session took place in September); they usually hated the way they looked in photos (who can relate? I know I can). So, they decided to have a little bit of liquid courage in the form of sharing a Fireball Whiskey shooter (keep in mind, we were at about 11,000 feet above sea level, so a little goes a long way)! During our session, we walked along the path and stopped at the first of two lakes. Poppy and Keith played fetch while Allison made sure her hair and makeup were up to her standards (she looked GORGEOUS btw).
Pass Lake is a DREAM location for an engagement session. It has natural beauty, while also being a little more secluded than some of the other locations along the iconic Loveland Pass. Loveland Pass is a little over an hour drive from downtown Denver and has some of the best views in all of Colorado. The best time to go to this spot is over the Summer in Colorado from June-September. Outside of those months, the roads could start to get sketchy and it gets bitterly cold.
